4 and 6 Melrose Street in Glasgow is a terrace of tenement buildings designed by architect John Bryce around 1850. This astylar terrace connects Queen's Crescent and Great Western Road and consists of three storeys, attics, and a basement. The six-bay terrace features four-bay shallow advanced terminal pavilions. The exterior is finished in polished ashlar, with a channelled design at the ground level.

Steps lead down to the basement and are flanked by Roman Doric pilaster doorpieces. The doors have pilastered reveals and fanlights. All upper windows are architraved, corniced at the first floor, and pedimented at the pavilions. The windows are sash style, with either plate glass or four-pane glazing. There is a continuous band course that runs over the ground and first floors, along with an eaves cornice, blocking course, and a deep plain parapet at the pavilions. The building has axial and wall-head stacks, and the roofs are covered with slate. Additionally, there are cast-iron railings leading to the basement and steps, with a return elevation visible to both Queen's Crescent and Great Western Road.
