Description
98, 100, and 102 Bellgrove Street is a mid-19th century corner tenement building designed in a late Georgian style, which underwent renovation in 1988. The structure has four storeys, with shops located on the ground floor featuring a granite front from the 1930s, possibly indicating its original use as a bank. Above the ground floor, the building is finished in cleaned ashlar stone, with architraved single windows, corniced at the first floor. The top floor has windows with recessed margins and there is a cill course present. The windows are fitted with plate glass sashes. At the corner, a steel reinforcing beam is cleverly disguised as a cornice. The chimney stacks have either been rebuilt or removed, and the roof is modern, covered with tiles and featuring modern dormers.
