Description

Circa 1881. Serpentine terrace of 13 2-bay houses; 2 storeys,

attics and basement. Polished ashlar, partly painted or

stonecleaned, droved at basement.

To left, steps oversailing basement to wide double-leaf

doors. Vestibule door tripartite with glazed side and

fanlights. 3-light bow oriel to right at 1st floor; otherwise

all windows single light sashes with plate glass glazing.

Cornice over ground acts as cill band to 1st floor windows.

Eaves cornice; parapet of cast-iron balustrading with ashlar

die-piers. Round-headed tunnel dormers with leaded roofs.

Axial stacks, slate roofs. Good cast-iron railings to some

steps and gardens; some modern railings.

Good leaded glass door to No 4.
