Description
The Auxiliary Accumulator Tower, located at the west end of Princes Street Docks on Govan Road in Glasgow, was designed by engineer Wm Alston and built in 1912. This square brick campanile tower features tall arched recesses on each side. One of these recesses contains an arched doorway flanked by two arched windows, all accented with band courses. The tower is topped with a bold dentil cornice and a low pitched Italian roof, which is finished with a ball finial.
