1031-1041 Cathcart Road, Glasgow

This late 19th century tenement building at 1019-1027 Cathcart Road in Glasgow stands four stories tall and features shops on the ground floor. The upper floors exhibit simplified "Thomsonesque" detailing, such as discs in the window friezes. The building has shallow advanced ends topped with steep-pitched French roofs, which are fish-scale slated and include pedimented dormers that may have originally been iron-crested. The design is symmetrical, although there is a curved angle bay on the northern side that is not mirrored on the southern side. The windows consist of one, two, and three light configurations.

The northern half of the building is finished in polished ashlar and has been stone-cleaned. The original glazing consists of single-pane sash and case windows. The main roof is covered with concrete tiles and features rebuilt stacks.
