Description
211-213 High Street in Burntisland is a mid to late 19th century, two-storey dwelling with an attic and a three-bay shop at the ground level, which has been altered. The ground floor features painted cement render, while the upper section is finished with stone-cleaned ashlar. The building has a base, first-floor cill, and eaves courses, along with a moulded cornice and a parapet that is interrupted by gabled dormerheads. The ground floor has painted margins and architraved windows on the first floor.
The south elevation facing High Street is symmetrical, showcasing a large central display window beneath a retractable canopy. To the right, there is a double door with a quadripartite fanlight, and to the left, a door leading to flatted accommodation above, which features a six-pane fanlight. The first floor has three windows, and there are two dormerheads that break the eaves to the attic.
The ground floor has fixed plate glass glazing, while the other windows are modern with a small-pane glazing effect. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are ashlar coped stacks and skews with flat skewputts.
