61-63 Kinghorn Road, Burntisland

The outbuildings at 61-63 Kinghorn Road in Burntisland date from the early 19th century and are a two-storey structure with an attic, featuring four bays in a classical terraced house style that has been converted into flats. The exterior is finished in droved ashlar stone, with an eaves cornice and blocking course. Notable architectural details include pilastered doorcases, architraved windows, and window and door heads that are adorned with dentils and cornices at the ground level.

On the south elevation, the bays are arranged in a 3-1 grouping. The three central bays are symmetrical, showcasing a deep-set panelled door with a two-pane fanlight, flanked by windows in the adjacent bays, and regular window placement above. To the outer right, there is a deep-set panelled pend door with a two-pane fanlight, with a window above it. The centre features a modern rooflight, with piend-roofed canted dormers on both the right and left.

The north elevation is marked by a circular stair tower that breaks the eaves, which includes a decorative slate canopied panelled door, flanked by bootscraper niches to the west and stair landing windows. Windows are present on both floors to the right and left of the stair tower.

The building primarily features 8- and 12-pane glazing patterns, with plate glass glazing at the ground front, all housed in timber sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are coped ashlar stacks with cans and ashlar coped skews.

The outbuildings consist of single-storey stone structures with a slated roof and timber doors. The boundary walls include a low saddleback coped wall to the south and coped rubble walls to the north, east, and west.
