Description
Ramornie Bridge, built in 1801, is a road bridge spanning the River Eden. Designed by surveyor William Martin, it features a segmental arch constructed from droved squared rubble with ashlar voussoirs. The bridge incorporates flanking flood relief arches. Some repairs have been carried out using brick. The bridge’s statutory address is Ramornie Roadbridge over River Eden, and it is located in both Pitlessie, and also the parishes of Cults and Collessie. Relevant records are held within the Scottish Record Office at SRO SC/20/44/1 pp320 and 332.
