The Bungalow, 1 Beveridge Road, Kirkcaldy

The Bungalow, located at 1 Beveridge Road in Kirkcaldy, was built in 1894. It is a single-storey, three-bay bungalow featuring a piend roof and an ogee dome. The exterior is constructed of stugged ashlar with droved ashlar dressings, and it includes a base course. The principal elevation has a deep-set panelled timber door with a plate glass fanlight in the center bay. To the right, there is a bipartite window set in a slightly advanced gable topped with a ball and spike finial, while to the left is a canted tripartite window with a ball-finialled ogee roof. A small modern rooflight is located off-centre to the left, and a modern conservatory, which is not included in the listing, is slightly set back to the outer right.

The windows are timber sash and case with plate glass glazing. The roof is covered with small grey tiles and terracotta ridge tiles, and there is a coped ashlar stack with some cans. The eaves overhang and the bargeboarding are plain.

Inside, the bungalow features a mosaic tiled vestibule and a screen door with etched glass and a sunburst-astragalled fanlight.

The boundary walls are made of saddleback and semicircular-coped rubble.
