Description
62 Hall Row in Charlestown is a row of five single-storey, three-bay cottages built in the later 18th century. The cottages are constructed from rendered sandstone.
The northwest elevation, which is the principal facade, features a symmetrical arrangement with three bays for each cottage, including a central door flanked by windows. The northeast elevation has a window at the gable end. The southeast elevation shows rear extensions, while the west elevation has No 66 set at an angle to the row, with a window located at the far right.
The principal elevation predominantly features four-pane timber sash and case windows, though there are replacement windows in other areas. The roofs of Nos 62 and 66 are piended and covered with red clay pantiles, while No 63 has replacement tiles and a slated easing course. The roof pitch steps down towards No 66 and includes four ridge stacks and one gable end stack for No 62.
The interiors were not seen during the last inspection in 2000.
