Description

12 High Street in Newburgh is a terrace of two-storey, two-bay flatted dwellings built around 1811. The buildings are positioned close to the street at the eastern end of Newburgh High Street. The first-floor windows are situated near the eaves. The exterior features stugged ashlar with droved dressings and raised margins. Originally, the ground floor housed shops, which were converted into dwellings in the late 20th century.

On the far left, there is a slightly raised ashlar lintel above a blocked doorway, flanked by windows. The ground floor window of No. 6A has been enlarged and there are single-storey out-shots to the rear. The principal elevation predominantly features 12-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slate, and the building has ashlar skews. There are coped end and ridge stacks with clay cans, as well as cast iron rainwater goods.
