Description

The Old Manse, located at 3 Marketgate in Crail, was built in 1789 and had a second floor added in 1829 by William Lees of Pittenweem. This plain classical building is three stories high with three windows and features a coursed rubble exterior and a pilastered doorpiece. It has a slated piended roof and a platformed design. There is a single-storey northeast wing that includes a garage. Additionally, there are two blocks that were formerly used as offices and a gig-house, which are single-storey structures made of rubble and have pantiled roofs.
