Description
This is a late Georgian house, dating from around 1850. It is two storeys high and has three bays. The external walls are of coursed whinstone, with decorative ashlar dressings and rusticated quoins. A painted pilastered doorpiece frames the central entrance. The windows retain their original 12-pane glazing. The roof is slated, with tall, shouldered, and corniced end stacks. The east-facing side is rendered, while the west-facing side is constructed of rubble. The building was formerly a Unitarian Free Church manse and is marked on the 1855 Ordnance Survey map as a manse.
