Description

Woodside Cottage is a 17th-century, single-storey rubble building with a pantile roof. Originally a two-window, centre-door design, the entrance to the road has now been blocked and replaced with a window. A lower wing extends to the east. The rear elevation has been completely modernised, while the rear of the building retains crowstepped gables. The cottage’s group value, recognised in 2006 with a re-categorisation from Grade B, stems from its contribution to the surrounding area. The listing applies to both the interior and exterior of the building, as appropriate. The statutory address is Woodside Cottage, Back Style.
