Description

The Ralph Erskine Statue, located on Queen Anne Street in Dunfermline, was created by Alexander Handyside Ritchie in 1849. This full-height statue is made of polished sandstone ashlar and stands on a square-plan sandstone ashlar pedestal. The pedestal features a stepped plinth and a moulded cornice, along with a carved foliate frieze. The dado is inscribed with the name of Ralph Erskine and the date 1849 in Roman numerals.
