Description
Cockairnie House is an 18th century mansion that may include parts from an earlier building. It has three storeys and a garret, and is six bays wide. The exterior is harled, and it features a slated roof. There is a later pedimented porch and the windows have been altered. An inset lintel, which is inscribed with '1589 D.M./L.M. welcome Friends', has been brought from Otterston Castle.
