Description

The folly, situated on Balcarres Craig and part of the Balcarres House estate, dates from circa 1820. It is a Gothick-style tower constructed of whin rubble with crenellations. The tower is circular and comprises four stages. It is flanked by curtain walls designed to appear ruined, with gothic windows incorporated into their design.
