Description
317-319 High Street in Kirkcaldy is a late 18th to early 19th century, three-storey, four-bay terraced tenement that features a shop on the ground floor. The building is finished in cement render with raised margins. The ground floor includes a broad segmental-arched doorway on the outer right and a shuttered display window to the left, topped with a deep fascia.
On the south elevation facing High Street, there are four windows on each of the upper floors, all featuring a 12-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are coped ashlar stacks with cans and ashlar-coped skews. A decorative cast-iron downpipe with a rainwater hopper is located on the southeast side of the building.
