27 James Street in Pittenweem is an early 19th-century building that features a single storey and a basement. It has two windows and a central door, which is accessed by railed steps. The structure is made of coursed rubble with painted margins and has a pantiled roof. Notably, there is a stone inset in the east gable that is dated 1621.
