Description

4 and 6 The Gyles in Pittenweem is a large building dating from 1597, which was rebuilt in the late 17th century. It is a three-storey structure with an attic, featuring whitewashed harl with painted margins. The building has a semi-octagonal stair outshot and a wallhead gable. The back wing is slated and has crowstepped gables, with an inset pediment that is also dated 1597.
