Description

This is an 1862 ice house, built into the slope of the river bank above a rubble terrace, and formerly on the Dairsie parish list. The building, situated above Moonzie Burn, originally belonged to Clayton House. It is built of whin rubble with contrasting ashlar dressings and skews. The west-facing gable features a central doorway with a lintel. A datestone reading 1862, which was also inscribed with "WJP", has been removed.
