East Prinlaws, 35-37 Glenwood Road, Leslie

East Prinlaws, located at 49 Glenwood Road in Leslie, is a row of later 19th century cottages that have been altered and extended. The row consists of eight single-storey gabled flax-spinner's cottages, with No 49 now being two-storey, and a two-storey, two-bay manager's house that adjoins the gable end of a disused mill, forming an irregular terrace to the south. The cottages feature bracketed stone canopies over their windows and doors, and are constructed from squared and snecked whinstone, with contrasting dressed quoins and deeply chamfered arrises. The eaves are overhanging, and the rafters are exposed.

On the main elevation, the original design included four symmetrical pairs of M-gabled roofs with a central pend under a gablet roof in the valley, flanked by doors and windows in the outer bays. The manager's house, No 51, is slightly advanced, featuring a door to the left, a window to the right, and two gabled dormer heads that break the eaves, along with a 19th century rooflight on the outer left. No 49 has a flat-roofed first-floor extension that is harled and out of character, with two windows. No 37 has had its pend converted to a door, with the flanking doors now converted to windows, and the stone canopy is missing from No 45.

The windows are primarily plate glass glazing in sash and case style, except for Nos 37 and 41, which have top-opening modern windows, and No 49, which features pivot windows on the first floor. The roofs are covered with grey slates and have deeply overhanging eaves, with ashlar coped skews, square skewputts, and coped ashlar stacks, some of which have cans on No 51.
