Description
Carnock House is an earlier to mid-19th century building that stands two storeys high and features three bays, with lower ranges at the rear (north). The exterior is pebble-dashed, accented with painted ashlar margins, and includes sash windows with lying-pane glazing. The doorway has cavetto reveals and a simplified pediment above, though it has a modern door. There are end stacks on each side, topped with a pair of corniced octagonal stone flues, and the roof is piended with slate. The one and two-storey rear ranges are also mainly pebble-dashed, revealing exposed stonework in a small courtyard. The building has large slapping faces that face west and is enclosed by a rubble-built garden wall, which features good corniced gatepiers.
