3, 4 Victoria Street, Dunbar

5 Victoria Street in Dunbar is a mid-19th century terrace of two-storey, three-bay houses constructed from harled sandstone rubble. The buildings feature raised margins and hoodmoulds above the ground floor windows and doors. The central bay includes a panelled door with a fanlight above, flanked by a window to the right. To the left, there is a bipartite window with mullions at both the ground and first floors, located above a pend. The right bays of houses 4, 6, and 8 contain arched carriage pends with double roll mouldings, leading to courtyards. The windows display a lying-pane glazing pattern, and the roofs are slated with brick stacks. The gabletted copings and skewputts add to the architectural detail.

Variations among the houses include: No. 2, which lacks a central first floor window and has a minimal stack, with the door of No. 1 Victoria Street interrupting the right side; No. 3, which has a blind upper bipartite window; Nos. 4-5A, which are constructed of painted brick with a central bipartite and a blind door; and No. 9, which features two piended, slated dormers and rusticated quoins.
