Description

The dovecot at Spott House is an 18th-century structure made of red sandstone, which was previously harled. It measures 29 feet by 18 feet 7 inches in plan and features crow-stepped gables with a central party wall and a roof covered in grey slates. There is a rat course along the sides and rear of the building. On the south side, there are two doorways with square windows positioned above them under the eaves. The dovecot has flight holes arranged in a horizontal line, located halfway up the roof pitch, and it contains 1,422 nests.
