Description
The Tweeddale Monument, located on Court Street in Haddington, was designed by architect David Rhind in 1880 to commemorate the public services of George VIIIth Marquis of Tweeddale. The monument is built in a Neo-Jacobean style, resembling the well at Pinkie House, and is made of red sandstone. It features a marble bust and is topped with an elaborate open crown, with the finial reaching a height of 25 feet.
