Description

The remains of the Old Parish Church and Graveyard consist of the walls of a church dating back to 1683, which were partially reconstructed in 1754 by Bothwell. A burial aisle is also present. A bell from 1641, bearing the Monteith name, is located within the graveyard. Further information can be found in Architecture of Scottish Post Reformation Churches, pages 51 and 248.
