Description

  1. Symmetrical 4-storey and attic tenements, slightly

stepped in slope, ashlar fronted with channelled ground

floor and pilaster strips.

Each has central Thomsonesque pedimented doorpiece with

incised Grecian ornament, and antefixae. Flanking single

lights, bipartites above, and canted end bays. Colonette

mullions to upper windows, impost-level band courses at

1st segmental heads at 2nd, eaves band courses at 3rd,

cornice. Slate roof, canted dormers over end bays and 1

later dormer. Some windows altered, originally sash and

case, 2- and 4-pane glazing pattern.

Square-section gatepiers with Thomsonesque Greek ornament.

Low rubble-built walls.
