Description

Shillahill Bridge is a road bridge likely built in the mid 19th century. It features five wide segmental arches, with the central arch being wider and two arches included for flood relief over the River Annan. The bridge is constructed from red ashlar stone, which is mostly bull-faced and channelled. It has pointed cutwaters on either side and a wide string course below the coped parapets, which are splayed at the approaches.
