The site comprises a rubble-walled churchyard located to the south of Kirkmaiden Old Church. The churchyard contains a collection of gravestones dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. Kirkmaiden Church and Burial Ground itself is designated as a Scheduled Monument (No. 2007) and is therefore excluded from this listing. The churchyard’s statutory address is Walled Churchyard, Kirkmaiden Old Church, excluding Scheduled Monument No 2007. Historic maps from 1848-9, and an inventory from 1912, provide further detail.
