Selkirk Arms Hotel, 125 High Street, Kirkcudbright

127 High Street in Kirkcudbright is a late 18th and early 19th century inn that stands two stories tall with an attic and features three bays, including one recessed bay on the left. The building has a painted, lined render finish with a plinth and margins. It showcases a central pilastered doorpiece, as well as a pilastered doorpiece in the recessed bay. There is a cill course at the first floor level and 4-pane sash windows throughout. The eaves course and cornice are present, along with two piended, canted wallhead dormers and one small gabled dormer. The roof is slate, with straight skews and end stacks.

At the rear, there is a wing that is partly from the 18th century and partly modern. Additionally, there is a long range to the right that was formerly four two-story cottages, now part of the hotel. The section at No. 127, dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, has a two-story and attic structure with a two-bay frontage to High Street. It features painted render and margins, a door in the left bay, 4-pane sash windows throughout, and one 2-light dormer, all topped with a slate roof.
