372 Leith Walk, Edinburgh

This building at 376 Leith Walk in Edinburgh is a classical tenement constructed in 1810. It has three storeys, a basement, and an attic, featuring an 11-bay terraced design. The exterior is made of polished sandstone ashlar, with channelled rustication at the ground floor, excluding the central bay. There is a band course between the ground and first floors, a cill band at the first floor, and projecting cills at the second floor. The eaves are mutuled and corniced, topped with a blocking course. The central bay is recessed and has projecting cills, with ashlar steps leading to the entrance that oversails the basement.

On the principal elevation, there is a timber panelled door with a round-arched fanlight in the central bay, along with timber panelled doors in fanlit entrances to bays 3 and 9. The remaining bays feature regular fenestration, and above, there are four tripartite piended dormers evenly spaced, along with rooflights.

The windows are timber sash and case with 12-pane glazing, and the roof is covered with grey slates. The building has skews, gablehead, and ridge stacks with terracotta cans.

The interior was not seen in 1998. The boundary walls are made of rubble with ashlar copes.
