11, 12, 13, 14 Teviot Place in Edinburgh is a four-storey, three-bay tenement block built in 1872 by Robert Thornton Shiells, designed in the Scots Baronial style. The building features squared and snecked stugged sandstone with polished dressings, and the ground floor is painted. The shops at the ground level have pilastraded fronts with a continuous cornice and fascia, and there is a timber panelled door with a plate glass fanlight leading to the flats in the centre.

The windows above have stop-chamfered, tabbed surrounds, with bipartite windows on the first, second, and third floors to the right. A stepped string course marks the attic floor, and there are pedimented dormer heads that break the eaves, with a shouldered wallhead stack positioned between the left and centre bays.

The windows are timber sash and case with plate glass. The roofs are covered with grey slates and feature double pitches, along with crowstepped stone skews. The building has corniced wallhead and end stacks with circular cans, and cast iron rainwater goods.
