9 Bellevue Terrace, Edinburgh

4-5 Bellevue Terrace is a terraced tenement building in Edinburgh, designed by Thomas Bonnar and constructed between 1834 and 1856. It is a three-storey, 23-bay structure made of sandstone ashlar, featuring channelled masonry at the ground level. The building has a base course, cill bands, and architraved windows on the first and second floors, along with decorative iron window guards and balconies at the first-floor windows. The design includes a frieze course, corniced eaves, and a balustraded parapet with dies.

On the principal elevation, there are timber panelled doors, some of which have been replaced, accompanied by large rectangular fanlights, with a multi-pane fanlight at No 4. The remaining bays contain windows, and the fenestration above is regular, featuring smaller windows on the second floor. The timber sash and case windows display a variety of glazing patterns, including a notable percentage of lying-pane. The building also has stacks with terracotta cans and cast-iron railings topped with spear-head finials.

The interior was not seen during the 1998 inspection.
