Description

The Thomas Guthrie Statue, located in West Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh, was created by FW Pomeroy in 1910. This statue features a robed figure made of Portland stone, standing with one hand resting on the shoulder of a boy while the other hand holds a bible. The statue is set on a tall pedestal that has a cornice, decorative wreaths, torus moulding, and inscriptions.
