Description
Thomas Bonnar, circa 1820. 2-storey, 3-bay house with attic and raised basement, at end of terrace. Painted droved ashlar sandstone with polished ashlar dressings to front, coursed squared rubble to gable wall and random rubble to rear. Base course, cill course to ground floor windows; mutuled eaves cornice and blocking course.
NW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: entrance door at centre: Doric columned doorpiece with cornice and blocking course; round-arched doorway with semicircular fanlight. Flanking canted window to left, with cornice and blocking course and 3-light window to right. Basement windows;
3 rectangular 1st floor openings; 2 square slate-hung dormers above outer bays and small centre rooflight.
NE ELEVATION: blank gable wall.
SE ELEVATION: not seen (1995).
Plate glass timber sash and case windows to ground and 1st floor; plate glass fanlight and modern dormer windows. Grey slate roof, piended dormers. Wallhead stacks; ashlar gablehead stack with coping; rendered shared stack with ashlar coping. Ashlar coped skews.
INTERIOR: not seen (1995).
BOUNDARY WALL: painted droved ashlar dwarf wall with ashlar coping.
