Description

The Hopetoun Monument, located at Dundas House on 36 St Andrew Square in Edinburgh, was designed by Thomas Campbell and constructed between 1824 and 1829. It features a lifesize bronze statue of a pedestrian alongside a horse. The statue is set on a stepped granite plinth that supports an inscribed drum-ended bronze pedestal.
