Description
This building is an earlier 19th century tenement located at 7-9 Parkside Street in Edinburgh. It features four storeys and has eight bays facing St Leonards Street, arranged in a 3-5 configuration. On Parkside Street, there are 32 bays arranged in a pattern of 2-1-2-6-5-5-5-6. The exterior is constructed of stugged ashlar, with a base course and a band course above the ground floor, an eaves cornice, and a blocking course. The doors are irregularly placed for each tenement block. The windows include some with lying panes, some that are blind, but the majority are plate glass sashes. The building has slate roofs and ridge stacks, with a three-window bowed corner at the west.
