Description

Grotto Bridge, located over the River Almond at Craigiehall House in Edinburgh, was likely designed by James or John Adam in 1757. This rustic bridge features a single depressed arch and is constructed from rusticated random rubble made of whinstone and sandstone, topped with square coping. There is a tooled plaque at the apex of the eastern elevation.
