Description
24 and 26 Hamilton Place in Edinburgh is a building designed by Archibald Scott in 1825. It is a four-storey structure made of ashlar stone, featuring a seven-window front. The central three windows are advanced and have consoled cornices on the first floor, with Greek Doric columns framing the central door to the common stair and the entrances to the former Stockbridge Market. The design includes an interesting treatment with a bifurcated round stairwell in the pend and a single opening at the rear.
