Description

Circa 1873. 2-storey, 3-bay villa. Squared and snecked sandstone rubble; lightly stugged ashlar with polished dressings to N. Base course; dividing band course; eaves cornice; raised and lugged window surrounds, stop-chamfered at ground, architraved at 1st floor; incised patterns to lintels and spandrels of porch; bracketted cills; raised rusticated quoins. N ENTRANCE elevation: segmental-arched open porch in re-entrant angle formed with advanced bay to left at centre 2 engaged and 1 free-standing capitalled column; cornice stone balustrade forming balcony to 1st floor window above; roll-moulded door surround; panelled door; plate glass fanlight. Corniced advanced tripartite window at ground in bay to outer right; bipartite window at 1st floor. Bipartite window at ground in advanced bay to outer left; single window at 1st floor. Plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof. Shouldered and corniced wallhead stacks; moulded octagonal cans; moulded eaves guttering some original rainwater goods, including hopper. BOUNDARY WALLS: low saddleback wall to street; higher mutual walls.
