5 West Argyle Street, Helensburgh

5 West Argyle Street in Helensburgh is a three-storey, four-bay tenement block built in 1903 by T and J Low, showcasing the Glasgow style. The building is constructed from red sandstone ashlar, with rustication at the ground level. It features cill courses, an eaves course, and corniced windows.

The north elevation facing Argyle Street has a round-arched doorway at the center, which includes a recessed half-glazed door, a hoodmould, a keystone, and a segmental-arched cornice above the doorway and the flanking windows. There are two additional windows above on the first and second floors, with a round-arched pediment that breaks the eaves. A date stone panel is set into the pediment, adorned with a stepped hoodmould and a keystone. Wallhead stacks are positioned on either side of the pediment. The outer bays feature full-height canted windows, corniced at the ground and first floors.

The building primarily has sash and case windows, with plate glass in the lower sashes and small panes in the upper sashes. The roof is modern and tiled, with gable stacks.
