4 Kilkerran Road, Campbeltown

2 Kilkerran Road in Campbeltown is a pair of early 19th century, two-storey, two-bay asymmetrical terraced houses. Number 2 is located on a corner site and features a two-storey, two-bay wing that projects to the rear, bordering the south side of New Quay Street, creating an L-plan layout. The walls are roughcast with droved ashlar dressings, all painted.

The northeast elevation facing Kilkerran Road has paired entrance fronts, with doors offset to the right of each right-hand bay. The northwest elevation, which is the gable end facing New Quay Street, shows irregular fenestration, with the two-bay wing projecting to the right. This wing has an entrance door and a window closely spaced at the ground floor bay to the left, while the right side is blank.

On the southwest rear elevation, the gable end of New Quay Street features a single storey and attic that project to the right. The ground floor of Number 2 has 12-pane timber sash and case windows, while the first floor has modern glazing. Number 4 has 4-pane timber sash and case windows and a modern entrance door. Both houses have grey slate roofs with cast-iron gutters and downpipes. Number 4 includes a piend-roofed, slate-hung canted timber dormer with a plate glass timber sash and case window and 4-light sidelights. Number 2 has modern timber box dormers on the front and rear pitches. The chimney stacks are rendered and coped at the apex, with circular cans at Number 4.

The boundary wall consists of random rubble, bounding the south side of New Quay Street, and features a vertically-boarded timber gate adjacent to the house.
