Description
Caibeal Mheamhair is a building located in Lochbuie, Mull, originally constructed in 1500 and later restored as the mausoleum for the Maclaines of Lochbuie in 1864. The structure is oblong and built from random rubble, featuring a gabled design and a modern slated roof. It has slit windows and a round-headed doorway. Inside, there is an octagonal font basin, along with mural tablets and grave slabs. An ogee-topped wall was added in 1864 to contain the remains of the Maclaines.
