Description

Glenmore Farm is a farmhouse built in the earlier to mid 19th century. It is a single-storey building with an attic, designed in a plain classical style. The farmhouse features three main bays, with single bay wings that are recessed to the outer left, which serves as part of the living accommodation, and to the right, which is an outbuilding. At the rear, there are single-storey outbuildings that enclose a courtyard. The exterior is finished with painted harl and has painted surrounds around the openings. The outbuildings are made of whitewashed sandstone rubble, with raised surrounds to their openings.

On the south (entrance) elevation of the farmhouse, there are steps leading to a small-paned door that is centered at the ground level, topped by a plate-glass fanlight and flanked by two-leaf timber storm doors. There are single windows in the bays on either side of the entrance, and above these are three-light canted windows. The outer left recessed bay has a single window, while the outer right recessed bay has a single opening and a single bay outbuilding beyond it. The north (rear) elevation features a small single window offset to the left of center, with single windows in the outer left and right bays. There is a large opening in the outbuilding attached to the outer left. The west (side) elevation is divided to form part outbuilding on the left and part living accommodation on the right, which includes a tripartite window at the center and flanking single windows.

The windows predominantly consist of 16- and 12-pane timber sash and case glazing. The roof is covered with graded grey slate and features raised stone skews, along with replacement rainwater goods. There is a corniced, rendered stack on the east and a coped, rendered stack on the west, both with circular cans.

The interior was not seen in 1996. The east range on the west (courtyard) elevation has an irregular arrangement of single and double openings, along with boarded doors. The north range on the west (side) elevation includes a garage opening centered beneath the apex and a boarded timber door in a lean-to addition on the outer left. The west range on the west (side) elevation has two small openings in the outbuilding to the left, with the adjoining living accommodation to the right. Various skylights are present, and the roofs are also covered with grey slate and have replacement rainwater goods. The interiors were not seen in 1996.

Additionally, there is a garden wall featuring round-arched rubble coping that encloses the garden with a random rubble wall.
