Description
Castle Lachlan is a Georgian building dating from 1790, featuring two storeys, a basement, and an attic. The exterior is harled with a gabled design and a slated roof, complemented by dressed chimneys. In the 19th century, additions were made, including a Scots Baronial tower that rises three storeys with a basement and caphouse. This tower has a corbelled and crenellated parapet, along with band-courses and string-courses, and features a balustraded stair leading to the entrance. The castle also includes two rear wings, which are two and three storeys tall with a basement, and the entire house has angle turrets and corbie-steps added.
