Description

Guthrie Castle is a three-storey tower house built in 1468, featuring a vaulted hall on the second floor and a projecting stair tower. An attached mansion house was added in 1818, and further remodeling and extensions took place in 1848, which included the addition of battlements and an attic storey to the tower. The architect for these later changes was David Bryce.
