West Wing, Stables And Coach House, Keith Hall

The Centre Block, Stables and Coach House at Keith Hall, designed by John Smith between 1806 and 1812, is a two-storey building with a shallow U-shaped plan. It features classical detailing and has been converted into a house. The structure is made of pink and grey granite ashlar, with margined angles and openings, and a shallow piended slate roof. The ground floor has 12-pane sliding sash and case windows, while the first floor has squat 6-pane windows of various types. There are two-leaf doors with astragalled fanlights, a wallhead cornice, and a parapet.

The front elevation includes a pedimented portico at the center supported by Doric columns. To the left and right of the portico, there are three bays, with a door and fanlight in the center, and a window on each side, along with three windows on the first floor. The far left and right bays are advanced and feature segmental-arched openings that have been infilled as windows, while the doors remain as shutters on the right, with a recessed panel above.

The left and right return elevations each have a window and a two-leaf door at ground level, with two windows on the first floor. The rear elevation displays various openings and additions.
