Description
West Lodge is a single-story lodge, likely designed by Simpson around 1825. It is a large, asymmetrical building in a rustic classical style, characterized by broad eaves. The east-facing side features a tetrastyle portico in a proto-Doric style. The lodge is constructed of whitewashed rubble stone with rusticated gate piers topped with thistle finials, and includes post and chain approaches. The lodge is shown on an estate map from 1834.
