Description
13 Bridge Street in New Byth is a two-storey, five-bay building dated 1765, consisting of two dwellings. The front is harled, with a return gable made of red local sandstone for number 13, which faces Chapel Lane, and tooled red sandstone margins. On the ground floor, there are two doors and two windows; the window to the left of the doorway for number 11 has been enlarged with modern glazing. The other windows are smaller, featuring four-pane timber and sash and case glazing. The east end gable has a stack with an original moulded cornice, while the ridge and west end stacks have been renewed. The roof is slate, with flat skews that include run-off moulded skewputts.
